The ankle support features a 3-level strap system (elastic, inelastic, semi elastic) in the form of a figure 8, which continuously stabilizes the ankle joint. The 3-dimensional anatomic knit includes an anatomically contoured viscoelastic pad behind each ankle bone, providing intermittent compression massage during movement. This helps to increase circulation, reducing swelling and edema.

The viscoelastic pads are sewn in medially and laterally to leave the ankle bones pressure-free while providing intermittent compression to the soft tissue of the joint. This promotes proprioception, heightening sensory awareness in the ankle for increased joint stabilization.

The anatomical knit has controlled compression graduated at the edges to prevent circulation constriction. It is lightweight, breathable, and completely machine washable, ensuring it will not retain heat.

The ankle support is available in a right or left version and can be used to treat various conditions, including ankle swelling and soreness, ankle sprains, ligament weakness, insufficiency, and slight tears, supination prophylaxis (particularly during sports), degenerative joint disease (osteoarthritis), synovitis, bursitis, arthritis, osteoarthritis, and post-operative rehabilitation.

The size is determined by measuring the circumference of the ankle at the narrowest point in inches. The available sizes range from Size 1 (6.75-7.5 inches) to Size 6 (10.63-11.38 inches).
